1. Who We Are

GanttSnap ("we", "our", or "us") is a Microsoft PowerPoint add-in that converts project schedule data into Gantt chart slides. GanttSnap is an independent software product operated as a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands.

2. What Data We Collect

GanttSnap operates in two modes, and data handling differs by mode:

Free / Trial Mode (no account required):

• No personal data is collected.
• Your schedule data (Excel files, activity names, dates) is processed entirely on your local device and is never sent to our servers.
• No usage analytics or telemetry is collected.

Licensed Mode (account required):

• Email address — used to create your account and deliver your license.
• License key — stored to validate your subscription status.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card details.

We do not collect:

• Your schedule data, project names, or activity details
• The contents of your Excel files
• The slides or presentations you create
• Device identifiers or browsing history

3. How We Use Your Data

The limited data we collect is used solely to:

• Create and manage your GanttSnap account
• Validate your license when you use the add-in
• Send you essential service communications (license confirmation, renewal reminders)
• Provide customer support when you contact us

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

4. Data Storage and Security

Account and license data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit (TLS). We retain your account data for as long as your account is active, or as required by law.

Your schedule data never leaves your device and is therefore never stored by us.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Analytics (GA4) — website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website (pages visited, session duration, referral source). Google Analytics may collect your IP address and browser information via cookies. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy
• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy
• Supabase — account and license data storage. Supabase's privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy
• Microsoft Office Add-in Platform — required to run GanttSnap inside PowerPoint. Microsoft's privacy policy applies: privacy.microsoft.com

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability — request your data in a portable format
• Objection — object to processing of your data

7. GDPR (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for processing your personal data is the performance of a contract (providing you with the GanttSnap service). We do not transfer your data outside the EEA except as necessary to operate the service using the third-party providers listed above, each of which provides adequate safeguards.

8. CCPA (California Users)

9. Children's Privacy

GanttSnap is intended for professional use and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of GanttSnap after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
